Reaktor
Reaktor is a modular software sound studio developed by Native Instruments (http://www.nativeinstruments.com). It lets musicians and engineers design and build their own instruments, samplers, effects, and sound design tools. It comes with many ready instruments and effects, from emulations of classic synthesizers to futuristic sound design tools. In addition, more than 1900 free instruments can be downloaded from the growing User Library. Reaktor is distributed in two versions: 1) full, which allows you to create new ensembles as well as edit existing ones; 2) Session, which can be only used to play music with existing (ready) ensembles.
